The CDC this week updated its guidance on vaccinations, and included a statement to the effect that anyone who has received both doses of the currently approved vaccines is no longer automatically advised to quarantine following exposure to the virus.
The guidance currently applies to people who have had both shots of the Moderna or Pfizer shot and also meet these three criteria: two or more weeks have passed since their last shot, they are within three months of the last shot, and they have remained asymptomatic.
Persons who do not meet all these criteria are still advised to quarantine per existing timelines and procedures.
