ATLANTA, GA (July 23, 2025) - Taylor Duma LLP welcomes Jamie Scherr to the Atlanta office as an associate in the Intellectual Property Practice Group, which has experienced a significant amount of growth over the past year.
Scherr’s work spans in-house counsel roles, large national firms, and boutique IP practices, giving her a well-rounded understanding of both legal and business considerations in intellectual property. She offers strategic counsel on patent strategy, clearance, patentability, validity, and infringement, and has a particular passion for design patents.
Prior to joining Taylor Duma, Scherr served as in-house counsel at Kids2, Inc., where she managed and expanded a global patent portfolio focused on mechanical and business method innovations in the children’s product space. She worked closely with cross-functional teams to mitigate infringement risks and provided legal guidance on trademarks, trade dress, trade secrets, copyrights, and anti-counterfeiting initiatives.
“We are excited to welcome Jamie to our team,” said Jeff Kuester, leader of the Intellectual Property Practice Group. “Her experience in IP and her strategic, business-minded approach will be an asset to our clients and our growing practice.” Scherr received both her undergraduate and law degrees from Emory University, where she studied Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology and graduated with honors from the School of Law
The firm has increased its headcount over the past year in several regions including Atlanta, Miami and Lakeland, Florida. With the addition of Scherr, Taylor Duma continues to strengthen its IP practice and expand its ability to serve clients across industries.
